SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's recent statement regarding RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary has increased the temperature in western UP. Meanwhile, RLD has indicated to take the Swabhiman rally to be organized in Saharanpur on September 3 as a show of strength. RLD President Jayant Chaudhary will also participate in this rally. National General Secretary and Bijnor MP Chandan Chauhan said on Saturday that Jayant Chaudhary will be given a grand felicitation in a function organized under the aegis of All India Gurjar Vadya Pracharini Sabha at Kochhar Agricultural Inter College ground in Rampur Maniharan.
He said that party workers have started making this program historic. It is noteworthy that recently, SP President Akhilesh Yadav, in one of his statements, while commenting on his former colleagues without taking names, had said that those who were taken forward also left him. His comment was considered a reference to Jayant Chaudhary in political circles. In the year 2022 assembly elections, SP and RLD had contested in alliance, but later RLD became part of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Jayant Chaudhary became a minister in the central government.
Language that hurts someone should be avoided
RLD leader Chandan Chauhan said without naming anyone that circumstances and alliances keep changing in politics, but society itself creates political parties. He said that senior leaders in public life should exercise restraint in choosing their words and avoid language that hurts anyone despite political differences. He said that the sugarcane region of western Uttar Pradesh has been the area of political legacy of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Chaudhary Ajit Singh and now Jayant Chaudhary. RLD workers are engaged with full enthusiasm in making the Swabhiman rally successful.
Crisis in sugarcane price rise due to rising sugar prices
On the issue of sugarcane farmers, Chandan Chauhan said that in the last crushing session, Jayant Chaudhary had met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and demanded to increase the sugarcane price, after which the support price of sugarcane was declared at Rs 400 per quintal. He said that in view of the rising prices of sugar, the possibility of increase in sugarcane price in future cannot be ruled out. He also said that Jayant Chaudhary, who is holding the responsibility of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Education Ministry, can make announcements related to facilities like running track, indoor stadium and auditorium for the players and youth of the area during his visit to Saharanpur. In this regard, the preparations and strategy of the program were discussed in detail in the meeting held.
